The theory of relativity is derived with the help of the concept of “local inertial frame” – therefore I expect that the theory will hold for systems which can contain an observer. To the contrary, the quantum theory is derived via the concept of an external observer – therefore I expect that it will hold for systems which cannot contain an observer. We can imagine the relativistic system as a big one and the quantum as a small one, but it is not necessary.
